In the ER waiting in the hallway to see the Dr. The ER was so busy she was given her meds and taken to xray from the hallway. When the Dr. came back with the results he said she had a fractured pelvis. She would need surgery right away. The first thing Hannah asked through her tears was, "Mommy, will I ever play soccer again?" My heart was breaking for my little girl. The immediately moved her into a room. Where Leonard and Rob gave her a blessing. Part of the blessing said they blessed the Doctors to make the right choices for Hannah!
They put a catheter and IV in to prep her for surgery. Everything started happening so fast. I kept thinking how did we get here? Isn't this just a pulled muscle? UGH!

Dr. called and said he was transferring us to another hospital where another Dr. that specializes in the pelvic region would take over. (hmmm...the spirit whispering in his ear!)
Hannah is just resting waiting for the ambulance to arrive to take her to Northridge Hospital. After 14 hours and a hellish night on the Peds unit the new Dr. said No Surgery!! Just three months of intensive PT. 3x a week for three months. He said she will make a full recovery with lots of hard work.
Hannah has played soccer year round for 4 years. I love to watch her play. It is going to be hard to see her sit on the sidelines for these few months. But so thankful that she did not have to endure Surgery!
Hannah suffered a Rectus Femoris Avulsion Fracture of her pelvis. Basically, when she landed with her right leg stationary she was bumped and that made her twist weird. The awkward twist forced her muscle into a weird position and it pulled incredibly hard on her lower pelvis (by hip socket) the muscle actually pulled so hard on the bone that it fractured it. That's the official diagnosis.

WOW!!! What a weird freak accident! Hope she is feeling better and not going too crazy during recovery :>)
