Jordon and Sarah!

The Graduation Ceremony

Taking his seat after the processional and looking for us!

Just about to walk across the stage and get his Diploma!
The Principal Mr. Vincent handing Jordon his
West Ranch High School Graduate Medal

A big smile and a thumbs up as he walks back to his seat. This is when the tears started flowing. I started, then Sarah started...it really is quite a moment when you start thinking back to their first day of Kindergarten. The tears flowed then and they do now. It has not been a easy road for Jordon. He has had many struggles with school. Yet he never gave up. He is a kid that struggled with school, but not with BEING in school. He was there every day! Yet, that wasn't always enough. Traditional school was a difficult process for him.
He had some hard choices to make at the start of his senior year. He would have to give up Football and West Ranch TV. The two things that meant the world to him. However, he knew he had to make those sacrifices if he wanted a chance to go to BYUI. He took a chance, changed his course, worked hard and achieved his goal.
We are so Proud of you Jordon!
Congratulations! As you embark on this new path...remember who you are...what you stand for and reach for your dreams!
Luv Ya!!

Graduation Gifts

My Dad gave Jordon a ring he bought after he graduated from High School. Jordon loves it and thinks it's pretty cool to inherit such an heirloom. Thanks Dad!

My Parents gave Jordon a laptop computer to take to college. He was totally surprised...we told him we were not getting him one! He is totally thrilled.

My Mom also made him a quilt that has BYUI embroidered on it. It will keep him all warm and compfy on those cold Idaho nights! We went with the standard new phone, clothes and shoes...one of which he is wearing in the picture.

Memorial Day at Ventura Beach

On a very gray Memorial Day we went down to Ventura Beach.

There was a really cool rail road track and bridge...had to get some shots there!
We went with the Joost family. We rode the family bikes along the coast for an hour or so. We stopped to take picture and enjoy the oceanside.

We later met up with the Woods too and ate at CPK. Then we headed off to a movie
The Night at the Museum 2.
It was a fun way to spend the day off!

Valencia Stake Senior Recognition Night

The Senior Recognition Night at our church was held last week.
They introduced all the seniors and read some fun facts on each grad.
It was a wonderful dinner...so yummy!
They also had a mother/son..father/daughter dance. It was a nice way to end the evening..strolling on the dance floor with my son!

All of the Castaic Ward Graduates.
Brenda, Krystina, Kayleigh
Jacob, Collin, Taylor and Jordon!
We are blessed in our ward to have such a great group of youth!
Scott and Brooks Muir are part of the Stake Youth presidencies. They really do love the youth(even tho' Scott is trying to strangle my kid) They do so much for the youth so that they can have awesome experiences with the youth activities! Plus we are lucky to have them in our Ward! They are tons of fun!!!

Justin and Jordon have been friends since they were four years old and we lived in Lakewood. We were in the same Ward with the Peacocks and they boys went to the same school in Kindergarten. Here they are above at their Kindergarten graduation. How cute are they!

Here they are at Senior Recognition Night.
Something is a little amiss in the picture above tho'!
Jordon can only dream of being as tall as Justin....here's what happens when he wakes up from that dream...
Justin is an All-League Offensive lineman for Saugus High! He is also an Honor Scholar Athlete...he will be taking his talents to BYU in the fall. Our friendship with the Peacocks has been a blessing to our family for the last 14 years. Our boys have shared many great times over the years. They even attended EFY last summer together at UNLV!
Congratulations Boys...We Love You both!!

Photo Practice

I needed a picture of Jordon for a book I am doing for his graduation. Luckily, the lake is only a few miles from us. So I decided to take a few more shoots to practice on my photography. It helps to have a willing participant.

So cute together!

Can't believe he is graduating....more later on that.

James West and his side kick!

They asked Leonard to dress like Will Smith as James West in the movie The Wild Wild West!
He looked GOOD!
We rented this costume and Heather rolled my hair in paper towel curls. They turned out great and stayed curled too!
Taking fun pictures in parts of the museum!
We are ready for the stage coach!
