Huntington Beach Pier

Hannah had a soccer tournament in Huntington Beach. After the game we went down to the pier. We ate at Rubys' on the end of the pier, walked around and played in the waves. It's such a fun, happenin' place! There is always so much to do and see!

Look at these two little cuties!
A see of people...much different than Ventura!
Ruby's has always been a favorite...yummy burgers and milk shakes!
A view of the waves from the pier...so inviting.

The Warriors....

You know the old saying Sometimes it takes a Village to raise a Child...I truly believe that some kids really do take a village! Jordon is one of those kids! Luckily for us we have had many wonderful Warriors in our village over the past six years! We are grateful for all the love, time and effort that has been bestowed upon Jordon! All of the wonderful Priesthood leaders that Jordon's had, have been amazing examples to him. They have helped shape Jordon into the Young Man he has become! Thank You!!

Uncle Ray...who drove three hours one way for Jordon's ordination! Uncle Ray has always held a special place in Jordon's heart since the day Jordon stopped running around long enough to throw his arms around his neck and give him a big kiss on the cheek. Ray always called him Wild Man!
The ever present sports enthusiast, Rob has provided many of Jordon's first adventures....wakeboarding, snowboarding, paintballing, tubing(and crashing) and motorcycle riding. I think Rob has been in YM since the beginning!

Bishop Muir....all the Youth LOVE him!
Nate served for many years in the YM program. Nate recently took Jordon on his first police ride along! Jordon has been talking about it for days! Nate will always be there for any Scared Straight program you might need!
Scott too has served for many years with the youth. He has always been that extra-eye for us! Scott is the Game Guy....video games, board games, paintball and beach volleyball....you name it...he does it! The boys always loved their trips to EA Games!

Jeff was Jordon's first youth Bishop! Another great guy that Jordon always knew he could count on! We were lucky to have many other wonderful men come to the ordination that are not pictured! Craig Johnson, Larry Wood, David Huffaker, Steve Gingrich...thanks to all these amazing men for their examples! Just a quick mention of a few others who could not be there but have influenced Jordon's life for the better... Bishop Parrish, Steve Spiker, Mark Voges, Kenney Nelson and Brad Ward....you were missed!

He's an Elder Now!!

He's 18 and headed off to college! It is time to transition from Young Men's Aaronic Preisthood Program to an Elder in the Melchizedek Priesthood. Jordon is a Young Single Adult now...wow!
Wes, Jordon and Jordan have been friends throughout their youth! They have had lots of fun times! As you can see they have always provided some comical relief!
When I saw them pose for this picture...I got all teary-eyed. It's hard to believe Jordon is going off to college and won't be seeing much of them for awhile. They are great friends and pictures of the three of them together will be missed!
Love that boy...er uh Man!

A few other fun Pictures from that day!

Jordon and his buddy Ethan
Jordon loves to make Megan smile!
Justin and Jordon have been friends since they were four! They started Kindergarten together at Madison in Lakewood. Now they have graduated from the same school district and heading off to the two different BYU's! They became Elder's on the same day! I wonder how close in time will they be sent off on their missions???

Daddy/ Daughter Camp Out!

Our Ward does a Daddy/Daughter camp out every year at Castaic Lake! One of the benefits of living so close to the lake!

BYU Fans! Nate and Leonard
This face has more to do with her hair than not wanting to be at the camp out. (Note to Dad's, do not take pictures of teen girls when hair is not primped!)
Taylor and Aliza, so happy to be out camping again!

What else would teens do while camping...text of course!
Bro. G. servin' up the Popcorn before the movie!
Maryn, Aliza and Taylor being their silly selves!
Bro. Mower is always the Movie Man! Setting up the projector to watch the Dad's most anticipated movie...The Hannah Montana Movie!

Look, there is Bro. Mower cookin' up the french toast!

Back to Seminary!

Well, I missed Aralie's first day back to school. So, I captured her on her first day back to Seminary! She is going to early early morning Seminary, since she has an extra class in the morning. This was 5:30 am! Hope you have a fabulous Junior Year!

Birthday Dinner and a Favorite Dessert!

Leonard's birthday fell on Back to School night, so we went for an early dinner at Chilies! Leonard and his girls! (I guess the boy will be minus in lots of pictures now;-(
Happy Birthday Sweetie!
The most treasured dessert among many Castaic Ward members is a Vince Cioffi Cheesecake!
At one ward auction 1 went for 80 bucks...last auction we sold them for $10 a slice! It is absolutely the most phenomenal Cheesecake ever! Cheesecake factory has nothing on Vince's cheesecake. This year at the auction Vince auctioned off 1 future cheesecake. I won it, so I could give it to Leonard for his Birthday...It is his FAVORITE!
See look at the smile! (the same smile he had for the Iron!) So I hope I made up for the iron for those who thought it was mean!

Happy Birthday Sweetie!!!

How many men do you know that would have this genuine smile when receiving an Iron for his birthday? And no, not the golfing kind either! Leonard loves to iron everything...the Navy trained him well! He has been complaining about our old iron for awhile now. I just happen to be ad BBB today and picked one up with my 20% off coupon. Later, Aralie and I were joking we should wrap it up and give it to him for his birthday...so we did! Except, he loved it!

I just hope he knows not to buy one for me for my birthday...I still haven't forgiven him for the shower caps I got for Christmas one year!
Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Aralie has found her passion at school now!

Back to School

Back to School in August comes way to fast...I am never ready for my kids to be all gone again! Hannah is an 8th grader...only one more year and she will be in High School!

Aliza is in 3rd grade...can't believe how fast my baby is growing up!
Aralie escaped picture time as she has an early morning chemistry class...which also means she gets to do early-early morning seminary. She will start her class day at 5:50am! But on the flip side she is out at noon everyday! And Jordon will leave in a few weeks for BYUI! Is it December yet????

Moro Bay 2009

Our last summer hoorah before school started was spent camping at Moro Bay.
We went with many other fun families. The Banrys, Bowens, Cioffis, Joosts, Miles, Mowers and Nalians. We had a fantastic time and look forward to our camping trip with all our friends!

Playing Sequence with all the ladies...Go Team Tracy and Daleen!

Hanging out by the campfire is the BEST! It was a little chilly this year, but it was still a nice break from the heat of Santa Clarita. This could be the last year our Whole family is there...as Jordon could be on his mission this time next year. The adventures were fun, the company amazing and we made lasting memories!
