Raising a Republican

A conversation I had with my 9 year old.

Her: Can we go somewhere on Saturday?
Me: No, Dad and I are doing our taxes that day.
Her: Ugh...does that mean you are going to fight again this year?
Me: No, why?
Her: Because you did last year.
Me: Well doing taxes is stressful
Her: Is that because Obama takes all your money?
Me: Yes!
Her: Well I don't like that Obama just takes all our money that Dad works so hard for! Why didn't people just vote for McCain...he would have been better!
Me:(smiling) Yes, he would have!

She was only 7 when we voted for our current President, I couldn't believe she even remembered who the other candidate was! Love Kids!
