During the awards night all the kids participate in
The Macho Man
They run around to the other side of the lake, crossing this bridge to the other side....
Then they swim back across the width of the lake.
Here she is coming out of the water from the swim. Now she has to finish the second run to the finish line...
Here she is crossing the finish line. She completed it in 15:23. She shaved more than three min. off her original time in four weeks. Next year she doesn't have to try out again.
It is such an amazing program!

I love Jr. Guards!! I did it every year when I was of age and then was a counselor! It is so much fun! Oh that macho man is killer!
