Dodger Game

We went to Mormon Night at Dodger Stadium with the Mowers and Miles. The Dodgers were playing the Braves. Elder Russell M. Ballard threw out the opening pitch! It was a great game...lots of hits and excitement. We were leaving to go camping the next day so at the top of the ninth it was 4-2 the braves. We all decided to leave...just after we got in the car we heard that Either hit a three-run home-run to win the game. Although Rob says that he needed to leave in order for the Dodgers to win..lol! Go Big Blue!

Senior Portrait Website

Jordon and Aralie did some modeling work for a local photographer. It was a fun afternoon....and I was able to watch some great photographers at work. The photographer, Autumn Hull, has finished building her website and just launched it. If you click on the link you can see them. Jordon is the second picture that comes up and Aralie is the fifth. If you click around in her site you can see more...especially in the gallery. Here it is http://www.autumnhullseniors.com/

Summer in Palm Springs!

This is our 7th summer in Palm Springs! We have had friends come with us for the last six years! We have had wonderful times spent with family and friends! It will be a memory our kids have of growing up! This year the weather was by-far the most perfect it has EVER been! A few days were only in the 90's. A long way from the 126 of two years ago!
The view from our Villa...sunset on our first night!
The ducks paddling along outside our room!
The moring of Jordon's birthday I was out at the pool to get "our good spots" by 7am!
What an amazing time, so peaceful and warm!
I don't usually do mornings, but this one was pretty incredible!
Blue Skies with some fluffy white clouds amid the palm trees!
Sunset, the sun was fading, hiding behind the palms and the clouds...Beautiful!
We had a fabulous time with the Bowens and the Mowers(we missed you Rob!)
Thanks for helping us celebrate Jordon's Birthday!

Moving to Adulthood...Jordon turns 18!

We woke Jordon up with a song!

He hung out by the pool during the day!

In the evening we went to Yardhouse for some DEEELISHOUS food!

Jordon and Sarah enjoying his desert.

It was a fun night to Celebrate with friends and family!

The teens went to see Transformers and then a late night trip to the pool!

It was a simple day...but it was memorable to spend with good friends and family!
So as my first born takes his first strides to adulthood it is a time of reflection.
After 25 hours of labor(w/o pain meds) he came into the world crying loudly! The nurses told us then...oh he is going to be a stubborn one! They were right! He crawled at the end of his fourth month. Walking all around at 7 months. That's because he could not sit still. He was busy, busy, busy. The first movie he ever watched all the way through was Lion King, he was three. He received his first bike on his fourth birthday. He told his dad, take off those training wheels, we tried to talk him out of it...he wouldn't hear it. Take them off! After a few false starts, he took off riding his first two wheel bike!
He loved the outdoors, played for hours outside...riding his bike, skateboarding, rollerblading and all other kids games. He played baseball, soccer and ran track. Every year during cross-country this one little boy named Xavier beat him. When he was 10, Jordon finally beat Xavier...through the pain of pushing himself so hard...was the biggest smile!
He loved scouting, camping, rock climbing and going to the beach. Luckily he earned his Eagle at 14 before it became way to "uncool"!
At 12 he found a new love...FOOTBALL! The next few summers and into the fall, he lived and breathed Football!
At 16 he got his drivers license and his first job. A swim instructor working with kids! He is so wonderful with little kids. This summer he is working at Hurricane Harbor as a life guard. These jobs definitely show his knack for caring for others. They are a perfect fit for a career as a Fire Fighter. He has said since he was two he wanted to be a Fireman.
He has also found a new passion...video production and editing! We have had lots of great laughs watching his segments! All the single ladies is my favorite!
He has another new love too...and that would be his girlfriend Sarah. Another right of passage, your first true love!
As he gets ready to head off to college in a few weeks, it's bitter sweet! He needs to go and learn for himself about life, stretch his wings, make his own decisions and learn to appreciate how much a mom really does! However, I will miss his smile, his laughter, his jokes and his love for life!
Happy Birthday Jordon!!!!

Miss Megan!

Just cuz she is so darn cute...miss megan needs her own post!
Playing with the water guns! She loved to chase the stream of water.
Her eyes say so much....
She would make a fishy face when kissing the fish...April did too!
She loved to play in the water...she will be a little fish like her big sister when she is older!
