My Birthday

After traveling all day on my birthday we arrived in Salt Lake. We went to dinner at the Roof Top Restaurant in the Joseph Smith Memorial bldg. After dinner we went the the movie downstairs...Joseph Smith a Prophet of the Restoration! To top off the evening we strolled around the Temple grounds. The weather was perfect and the night was fabulous!

This was the view from our table...Gorgeous!

Salt Lake City, Utah Temple

We arrived at Temple Square at dusk...just as the Sun was setting! The lighting was great!

After dinner and the movie we strolled around Temple Square. The grounds are just so beautiful and the landscaping is amazing!
This shot is of the temple in the reflection pool adjacent to the Temple...I love it!
A beautiful beacon in the night!

St. George Utah Temple

I love the beautiful contrast of the St. George Temple. The stark white against the red rock hills of St. George. We went and walked around at night...so peaceful!

Love the Beehives on the pillars!
One of the few Temples without an Angel Moroni...I love to think of all the pioneers building this Majestic Temple!

General Conference

The first weekend in Oct. is General Conference! That means I don't have to do the Sacrament Program! It also means we are able to hear from the General Authorities of the church! There are always favorite talks! But, sometimes there are talks that you wonder did they write that just for me! Saturday Morning Session that was my exact feeling as Elder Oaks completed his talk. Did he have a direct line to my prayers these last few weeks? I am grateful for his guidance and comforting words. The choir also sang some of my favorite hymns. I Know My Redeemer Lives, How Firm A Foundation, Come Come Ye Saints, We Thank Thee O God for A Prophet and I Need Thee Every Hour!
Some other favorites Elder Holland on the Book of Mormon, Elder Eyring and Love and Elder Christofferson!

A Tonsillectomy for Hannah

This past year Hannah has had strep throat almost every month or so. I tried telling the Dr. earlier this year they needed to come out. Answer, lets watch them. By this summer they had become so big and so infected they were impeding her airway. Finally, the Dr. agreed. But, you know how referrals to specialist go! So here we are at the end of Sept. and they are finally coming out! The first thing she said as she was coming out of anesthesia was "I can breathe, I can breathe through my nose again!"

It has been a hard week for her. But, she has put on a brave face mostly! I know she will feel so much better in a few weeks, she will Thank me then!
Get Better Soon my little chickadee!
