President Eyring has always been a favorite speaker in our home. A few months before he was called to be an apostle, we had a wonderful opportunity to hear him speak. Once a month we could go hear a different speaker at our stake in Moreno Valley. It was rumored that month a General Authority was coming, maybe one of the Twelve. When we got to the church we were told it was one of the Seventy. We were a little disappointed, until we heard him speak. He was AMAZING! So kind and gentle, funny and full of whit. There were only maybe 50-60 people there. Afterwards, we all got to go up and talk with him and shake is hand. A few month later in the April conference they called Henry B. Eyring to be an Apostle of the Lord. We laughed, we really did get to hear one of the Apostles that night!
I like Presidents Uchtdorf's stories too. I love his accent. I look forward to being able to hear him for many years to come. Sister Dalton's talk about focusing on the Temple for the Young Women was excellent...everything leads to the Temple. As a parent it is one of my greatest desires to be able to sit in the Celestial Room with all my children.
I am grateful for a Prophet that leads and guides this church. The Documentary on President Monson was superb today. I love that HE asked us to pray for him. It is something that we do in all our family prayers, it just great to know he really does want and love that we do that for him.

Conference was indeed wonderful! I love President Monson's talk, too. It was nice hearing him speak about focusing on the good and simple daily things that happen in our lives, instead of focusing on the past or the future.
I love the title of your blog, by the way. I think it's great how you keep track not only of the big things that happen in your life, but also the simple things. I am trying to do more of that, too.
I loved reading your blog, Daleen. I felt what you felt, too. It was hard not getting emotional as I listened to these valiant servants of God speaking to us for Him. Thanks for sharing your testimony!
Conference was really great. We missed one of the sessions on Saturday (due to soccer games) and so we watched it on Sunday after the two Sunday sessions. I thought it would be tedious to watch 6 hours of conference in one day, but it wasn't. It was very uplifting! I think I enjoy conference more and more every year!
conference was so good....President Uchtdorf's story about his mom losing all her kids at the train station gave me chills. What wonderful men they all are!
