Soccer, Soccer, Soccer!

This weekend was the last weekend for Hannah's tournament soccer team. The Castaic Blaze team has done well this year. They have had many great games and continue to place in most tournaments. First place has eluded the team this year, but we have been close. At the SCV Showdown the game went to double overtime and double shootout. We lost by one point in the last shootout. It was a great game!

This weekend we travelled to Camarrillo to the Strawberry Tournament. Even though we lost both games on Sat. we scored goals which counts for points. Sunday morning we won our game. Because some of the other teams lost sunday, we ended up playing for 3rd and 4th place. We played great, but took 4th place. It's been a great year for Hannah in Soccer. She really has a passion for the game and has strived to become better. She will even play goalie now and not grumble. This weekend our regular goalie was gone, so Hannah spent alot of time at the net. She saved so many goals!!

We have had a wonderful time getting to know many Fabulous Families. We appreciate all the time and effort Mark Silvestro has contributed to the team. This was Hannah's first year playing AYSO. She made the All-Star team and found a love for the sport. So after 10 months of practice we will have 2 months off and start all over again!
