The Rockin' Blue Berries won game 2-1 on Sat. We have one more make up game next week before our season ends. We have such a strong set of players this year. They have only lost one game this season. Leonard has enjoyed coaching these girls. He is looking forward to coaching the u-10 division next year. That is the start of competition soccer. At the u-8 level they do not keep an official score, but the players and parents do for sure!
Aliza scored a goal off this kick.
Throw-ins are an important skill to learn. You have to learn to keep BOTH feet on the ground and get it to YOUR players. Look at the arch on this ball.
This is a good shot of another skill Leonard has been teaching the girls. Trap the ball, turn and go. It can turn a defensive play into an offensive one.
I love this shot(thanks Heather) I think it just shows Leonard's gentle nature and his love for the girls. Just to stoop down and take a moment to tie a shoe and talk with his player. It also shows the AYSO coaching motto that they were each week.
We do Cheer!!

Well some teams keep track of the score. Depends on who's winning. I couldn't tell ya how many we won! LOL
Those are really great pictures too.
